Disability Sport Events creates opportunities for participation in sport for people with all disabilities. We are the number one events agency, providing events in various sports.
We have a network of clubs, schools and individuals who are the participants at DSE events. It is here that we can develop, support and encourage people to participate in a variety of sports and activities.

Hampshire Dance
Dance and Disability is one of our four core priorities. Our work in this area has concentrated on developing the skills of dance workers through training and mentoring opportunities. We have developed Dance Caper-Bility - an accredited training course for people interested in dance work with disabled people. Hampshire Dance also holds information about dance in and around Hampshire.

Oaklands Pool
Disabled people are welcome to Oaklands at any time. A disabled swimming session is held on Wednesdays 11am to 12 noon and during this time if you need to bring a helper they are admitted free. There is disabled parking available and the site is all on one level. A hoist is available to lower you into the pool.

Rose Road Hydrotherapy Pool
A beautiful and spacious split-level hydrotherapy pool with full access and four choices of entry to the pool. Large changing rooms and toilets with hoists, poolside shower with trolley or chair. Capacity limited to 4 users in the pool at any one time. Initial training is needed for which there will be a charge.
Parents can hire the hydro-therapy pool lunchtimes, late afternoons, evenings, weekends and school holidays. Phone for booking guidelines and session availability. Training must be undertaken before external hirers may use the pool.

The Rapids
The Rapids has a vaiety of pools, all of which are accessible to people with mobility problems. There are dedicated disabled changing/toilets and sizable family changing rooms. You can also enjoy the newly themed water features, extensive gym facilities, 2 studios, Archie’s World of children’s soft play and an OFSTED registered creche, Costa Coffee café and beauty treatments.
Fully trained lifeguards keep a watchful eye over your safety and enjoyment. Overall water temperature is a constant 85°f. Disabled users receive discounted admission rates with helpers admitted free of charge.
