Family Link Scheme

The Family Link Scheme is available to any child in Hampshire who has severe physical or learning disabilities and is aged between 0-19 years. Initially your child’s needs will be assessed and if you are accepted onto the scheme you will be linked with another family who can offer to care for your child when you need a short break.

The Co-ordinator of the Scheme recruits and supports “Link Families” and ensures that references and Criminal Record Bureau Checks are done before approval.

The Scheme provides parents with a much-needed break and enables them to spend time with “siblings” or each other. It also gives the child new experiences and friends outside their own family.
